Below is a sampling of projects the Katherine W. & Ezekiel R. Dumke Jr. Foundation has supported in the past.
RED BUTTE GARDEN
The Dumkes have been working with Red Butte for over 30 years, and support it in projects ranging from developing trails to making repairs on beautiful features like the herb garden wall. The Garden now provides a free Zeke Dumke, Jr. Day on the first Monday of every October in recognition of his visionary role in the founding and development of Red Butte Garden.
AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY HOPE LODGE
The Foundation contributed to building American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in Salt Lake, a place where cancer patients and their caregivers can stay while receiving treatment. The Foundation sponsored a reflection room, a quiet place within the lodge for visitors to relax and reflect.
UNIVERSITY OF UTAH SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
The Dumkes gave their first gift to the School of Medicine in 1966 and by the early 1990s their involvement with the school and the health sciences had increased significantly, both in time commitment and through their charitable giving.
The Katherine W. and Ezekiel R. Dumke Jr. Foundation has contributed to a wide array of organizations in the Intermountain West as we seek to give thoughtfully, fill a need, and create sustainable impact.
